Trainer

Coach P Bio Pic.jpg

Pasquale Pascullo joined Max Velocity in November, 2017, and the place hasn't been the same since. Aside from the obvious -- his energy, his enthusiasm and his expertise -- Pasquale's innovative functional fitness approach has energized and uplifted our entire program.

He also has a way of making workouts not only challenging and effective, but also safe and fun. Everyone is part of the class, regardless of skill or experience level.

Pasquale is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and also holds the following NASM specialty certificates among his certifications: Senior Fitness, Youth Fitness, Corrective Exercise and Nutrition. He also is a Registered Nurse, so he is well versed in how exercise, nutrition and medicine are connected.

He speaks two languages -- English and Brooklyn -- and has a way of making everyone feel accomplished, while still pushing their boundaries to achieve even more. True story: Coach P and Coach Ken met in an elevator. As they both recall, it was going up. Timing, as they say, is everything in life.

Aja campbell

Trainer

Coach Aja-Bio Pic.jpg

Aja Campbell's personal fitness journey began in a dark place ... just like most of us. She was 50 pounds overweight, and looking for answers. She's been down the road many of our members walk, and she knows the steps, habits and strategies that work!

Aja credits her time at CrossFit Island Park as a coach with Active Life Athletics -- a renowned program focused on injury prevention and rehab -- for giving her the depth of knowledge and experience to help athletes of all ages and ability levels train pain-free.

She also currently serves as the head strength & conditioning coach for The Mary Louis Academy, a single-sex private school in Queens. This year, she helped create and proudly launch the Diploma Designated Sports Medicine Program at TMLA, her alma mater. This program will help young women navigate the many career options available to them in the sports medicine field and, upon completion, give them the opportunity to sit for the NCSF’s Certified Personal Trainer exam.

Aja is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a CrossFit Level 1 Coach. Also, as you may have noticed, she runs a kick-ass class.

  • Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, The Mary Louis Academy

  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

Tabbitha Martinez-Reyes

Trainer

Tabbitha-Bio Pic.jpg

As a weightlifting coach and competitive power lifter, Tabbitha Martinez-Reyes knows that every rep has a purpose. Proper form trumps all ... especially if you're interested in resistance training for long-term health and fitness. Moving heavy objects -- correctly -- is one of the most underrated aspects of overall physical health and body composition. Many people are intimidated by weightlifting, and if they don't have someone with Tabbitha's knowledge and expertise to coach them, they'd be missing out on one of the most effective tools for improving their health and fitness.

Tabbitha got a crash course in human movement as a competitive gymnast, and used her experience as a springboard to help others move well and move often. She holds a bachelor's in exercise science from the University of Cortland, and is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Tabbitha also is working toward her Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist certification (CSCS) with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), one of the highest credentials in the industry. Tabbitha has the unique gift of being able to motivate, teach and inspire without yelling. Though she reserves the right to do so ;)

Credentials:

  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM)

  • Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, University of Cortland

Kim Nash

Conditioning Program Specialist

Kim Nash bio pic.jpg

Kim Nash has seen the fitness world from every angle. She's been a sponsored, competitive athlete and competitive Olympic weightlifter. She's coached everyone from high-level athletes to beginners. What sets her apart is her ability to see the 360-degree view of fitness and performance. In short, everything matters. Training. Nutrition. Recovery. Sleep. Stress. If one piece of the puzzle is missing, you can't be successful for long.

Kim knows this from experience.

She is a CrossFit Level 2 trainer and has a Master's in Applied Clinical Nutrition from New York Chiropractic College. Having patrolled the training floor at Max V since the very first day we opened in September 2016, Kim knows as well as anyone how it works. Her institutional knowledge and the power of technology allow her to continue to be intimately involved in our gym, even from afar. She is continuing to serve as our Conditioning Program Specialist, writing all the workouts that you love to hate ;)

Liz Georgiadis

Personal Trainer/Project Manager

Liz Bio Pic.jpg

Liz Georgiadis has quickly become a strong and effective member of the team. As a Personal Trainer and Project Manager, Liz does a great job assessing her clients, designing workout programs that help them achieve their goals, and guiding them to success. She's also instrumental in planning and executing our new series of fitness challenges, expanding our social media reach and delivering quality digital content to our members and the public at large.

Liz is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and her patient, empathetic approach especially appeals to beginners and those who feel unsure of themselves when starting a fitness program.

She and Coach Ken get along so well, in part, because neither one of them likes Las Vegas at all. Also, she keeps a HANDWRITTEN calendar and takes HANDWRITTEN notes. There is something to be said for that.

Credentials:

  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM)
